Thumbnails viewing problem

Hello,
Just yesterday I can no longer view the contents of my
video files. Before I could just highlight the file and
the video would show an picture of the file, Now I get
nothing, viewing pictures in folders is ok , just video,
could some one please help
I'm running windows XP

Which file format? MPG, AVI, WMA? Did you install any third party "media
players"??

following the link to create them manually. Or post the format and I will
create it for you.

Restore Thumbnail view in AVI, MPG, MPEG (Line 17)

To create: Copy the lines below including a blank last line into Notepad.
Change the two mentions of .avi and replace with the ext type. Once done,
save with a .reg extension and apply. Note: The line that starts with @
must be a new line.
