After SP3, Windows explorer crashes

Followed Microsoft automatic update procedure and installed SP3 and then
Iexplore 7,
now every time I run windows explore it crashes when I try to change
folders.
Seems to be a common problem when I googled it, but I can not seem to find a
fix other than uninstall back to SP2, seems a bit drastic as I have no other
issues.

Any known fix for this problem

Things to do prior downloadin/installing SP3.
1.Make an Image backup of the hard drive/Windows Partition before you
install SP3
2.Test your System Restore to see if it is working correctly.
3.Make absolutely sure the machine's free of any hijackware, Trojan, or
virus infections before installing SP3.
4.Run Disk Cleanup then run a Defrag session before installing SP3.
5.Disable all real-time protections (anti-virus; anti-spyware;third-party
firewall) before downloading/installing SP3.
6.Reboot twice after installing SP3.
7.Run another Defrag.

What problem. You have not sufficient information to start to diagnose
what the cause might be.

Posting a copy of the Error Report from Event Viewer might be helpful.

You can access Event Viewer by selecting Start, Control Panel,
Administrative Tools, and Event Viewer. When researching the meaning
of the error, information regarding Event ID, Source and Description
are important.

A tip for posting copies of Error Reports! Run Event Viewer and double
click on the error you want to copy. In the window, which appears is a
button resembling two pages. Click the button and close Event
Viewer.Now start your message (email) and do a paste into the body of
the message. Make sure this is the first paste after exiting from
Event Viewer.
