I know that you can just switch it on somewhere but, I can NEVER ever find
it ?
Big TIA
regards
Right click on a blank area of the desktop and select Properties. This will
open your display properties. Go to the Desktop tab and click Customize
Desktop. On the general tab make sure Internet Explorer has a check next to
it in the Desktop icons area. OK/Apply your changes.

Found that and it didn't work. Am currently Windows updating this notebook
to SP2, then will stuff in IE7 and hope that fixes it. There is a fault in
its' IE6 in the www.argos.co.uk web site causes that browser to bomb-out !
...even though that site is in Trusted Sites zone. I always use that site
for testing, never seen it do that b4, so suspect damage to IE6 somewhere.

And what, exactly, is that? BTW, you are not talking to MS here. This is a
peer to peer support group hosted on an MS server. If you want to suggest
something to MS:

Installing IE7 on top of a problematic IE6 might cause even more problems.
Also there is a specific internet explorer newsgroup where IE questions
should be posted.
