The info is stored in binary format under the following key:

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Streams\Desktop]

In the values named 'TaskbarWinXP' (controls the taskbar & any toolbars added to it) and 'Toolbars'
(toolbars that are not part of the taskbar)
