I installed several programs while logged on as
the "default" administrator (user A). I then created a
new user with administrator rights (user B). When I
logged in as user B, I could not find some of the
installed programs. They were not in the Start/Programs
menu nor as shortcuts my the desktop. Just vanished.

I am missing key programs like my Palm desktop software.

Heeeeelp.

Thank You.

This is common for some programs not to show up under
user (B) when loaded while logged in as user (A). You
will have to also load those programs while logged in
under user (B) for them to appear.

All the programs are there, you just have to make new shortcuts to them. You
will see the programs under c:\program files\...........

All you need to do is create new shortcuts to them and place them in this
folder:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs
(the shortcuts can be copied from your start menu if you want)

Now the programs shortcuts will show for all users on the computer.

Thank You. One more thing though, the programs I am
missing do not even appear in the Start Menu. Right now I
have no way to sync my palm.
As you suggested I'll look on the drive i.e. "c:\program
files".

You can also copy the shortcuts from one users desktop to the all users
desktop:
C:\Documents and Settings\your user name here\Desktop
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Desktop
