When i right click on a file to "send to" mail recipient,
it is gone and so is most of the other default items. How
can i get them back? I use this often to send documents
and pictures by email because it sends files smaller now
i can't find it. Thanks!

Cathy,

Type in RUN box:

"REGSVR32 SENDMAIL"

What other items are missing? For My Documents, type "rundll32 mydocs.dll, PerUserInit"
[Credit goes to David Candy for this info]

You may add your folder shortcuts to the SendTo folder. Type "shell:sendto" in the RUN box.

Cathy,

What caused this? Which third party program(s) did you install before you
noticed the change in the context menu?

Kelly, i got the virus trojan.adkiller a few days ago and
in trying to rid my pc of this annoying but I guess
something happened that i just don't know anything about.
I have gotten rid of all my programs that i downloaded
off the net which also install spyware. I also run ad-
aware almost every day to get rid of this stuff. Not sure
i got rid of the virus entirely. Maybe you canhelp with
my other problem. Since the virus i am bombarded with
popups every time i open explorer. My ad killer is up to
date and it won't touch them. Thanks for any help...

thanks Ramesh...last week i got the virus
trojan.adclicker and in trying to remove this i don't
know what happened. I will try your suggestions to fix
my "send to". All my default settings for that are gone,
i don't really remember what was there but i know that i
use mail recipient a lot. This virus caused another
problem may be you can help me with. I followed
symantechs removal instructions for this. However, my
System Restore was gone and i had to skip that part.
Through microsoft website i finally fixed that
problem..something about an entry point when i right
click on my computer. When i went into registry to delete
the values from the virus it said to delete, i couldn't
find them in there anywhere and now when i open my
browser i get bombarded with ads. I have an up to date ad
killer and its not even touching them and before it
worked fine. My adkiller works on some popups but these
must be coming from somewhere that my adkiller isn't
working with. I also run ad-aware every day and
uninstalled the programs i got from the net that included
spyware (i hate that stuff!) Any suggestions for this
will be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your help!

Cathy,

Pop-up killers are different from spyware removers.

Download all of these utilities and scan the system.

Ramesh! you are awesome! Thanks so much you fixed
my "sendto"! Now if i could just get rid of these ads!
Its funny, some of them disappear into the bottom right
corner when i click on them and they say Microsoft
Internet Explorer on them, some say about:blank..a lot of
just plain old ads though. I will try your other
suggestions. Thanks again for the "sendto" fix. Can i run
another problem by you? I used the WinXP cd and ran R
(repair) in it. When it got down to 13 minutes it gave me
this error: unregmp2.exe-Entry Point Not Found , The
procedure entry point GetIUMS could not be located in teh
dynamic link library MSDART.DLL.....what does that mean?
