WindowsXP missing system32\cmd.exe

please help me I keep getting a message that my trial
period for system32\cmd.exe is over I can't understand
this as the system32\cmd.exe came built in to my computer
the cmd box is still there but I can not use it at all
any sugestions please where I can get this back as I
wanted to look in my dir but was unable to do that also
I think something I downloaded took it of my PC where can
I download this again as I cant find it on my WindowsXP
home edition CD either thank you

This is not a Windows file. The command to run it is a left over remnant
from a virus.

You need to update your Antivirus software and scan your system.
