fax connect handshake

I can not connect to the far end fax since the is office system between my
fax modem and the far end fax. After dialing the far end modem the modem
hears a voice recording and then a message indicating that if one wants to
send a fax hit "send" button on your fax machine. My fax modem wants to
connect to a dedicated fax modem and perform the nomal handshake. Is there an
upgrade to the "fax console" program to solve this problem?

No. Basically the far end fax machine has been set up to detect the fax
tones and switch to the fax machine. The fact that it apparently isn't
working suggests that it has been set up incorrectly. I have such an
installation at home and it only works if there is a 2 second pause before
the OGM starts.
