I'm pretty sure you will have to provide more info. Like... which web pages
are you trying to save? ...what kind of error do you receive? ...in which
format are you trying to save them? ...which browser are you using? Then
maybe someone can help.

I can save certain web pages fine! Thanks for letting us know.

Now what is it you want help with?
What operating system are you running?
What service pack level are you at?
What is the specific issue?
When did you notice the specific issue?
Does the specific issue affect all users of the computer?
Can you recreate the specific issue and can you explain how you do that to
us?

-Have you been able to save these web pages before( say extensions like,
html, htm, asp, php, CGI,JSDHTML, XML..etc)?
-What happen if you logged with another user and try the same page and save
it, does it work?.
- Clean your Temp folder and see if that will help?
- Probably a corrupt cache folder, try to change the directory for it, say
if it was on C:\ change it to D:\ or another folder on the same
partition/drive, Reboot and try the procedure of saving pages?

-Do you get error messages for us to work with or it just doesn't save?
HTH.

You ask the absolutely WORST questions here.

No info, one-liners. Are you stupid or lazy?

You wonder if he means bookmark. Still it is a vague question.

I just want to reply a stupid question with a stupid answer. Don't really
care what he means.

Some web pages are beyond saving. They'll get whats coming to them in the
afterlife, don't you worry.

I guess not since in 3 1/2 hours he has not explained the word "save" as
someone asked earlier.

Also, some web pages are Jewish and don't have anything to be saved from!

You can tell if a web page is Jewish the same way you can tell if a chicken
is Kosher: it's circumcised.

What happens when you try? What specific error messages do you get?
What specific troubleshooting steps have you already taken, and what
were the results of each?

I'm afraid that no one can help if you don't provide at least a
modicum of pertinent information.

I am trying to save web pages to disk. I am allowed only 1 hour per day
access to a LAN computer so I am always behind.

Great, when you get around to it, there were some questions people had
for you then.

First - given the conversation thread - where do you conclude that MVP's can
say whatever they wish, giving your example of 'attacking jews'? I don't
believe "HeyBub" is an MVP - I could be incorrect. If I am incorrect - my
apologies.

And why can you *not* say anything you want?

Here are 2 examples:

1 I try to save a web page to disk but a message appears informing me that
the page may not save correctly.

2 I save a web page to disk but when I "launch" the saved file only part of
the saved web page is visible. Near the center is a rectangular hole where
there should be graphics.

Regarding example 2, I tryed saving to disk again but the results were the
same - when I launch the saved file, a rectangular hole is visible near the
center of the web page.

And that's exactly the case you should/could get.

Not sure why you need to save them, but you can download and install a
pdf writer like PrimoPDF, its free, and it will build a pdf printer for
you. You can then print the web page to the printer which will then
make a PDF file for you. It should contain all the graphics if the
page prints okay that is. Some pages if in frames etc don't print right.
The nice part too is that the PDF can be moved or sent to other
people as PDF are pretty common. They also print now too.

I have seen posts here disappear. There must be a moderater here. I can not
even correct my own posts after I discover a mistake.

Nope... no moderator. You can check to find your lost posts here:

http://preview.tinyurl.com/5uc42j

And you are accessing this group using Outlook Express... there is NO
way to "correct" a post once it's been sent to Usenet.
