I have had to do a complet re install of my system (viruses and malware
problems), and after installing my programs again I went to open up the
quick launch bay? on the task bar and by mistake I seemed to have
widened the task bar instaed and now all the icons on the bottom left is
grouped ontop of each other.
How can I get it back to its normal size? I have tried but I can't
manage to do it.
Thanks

Try right clicking on it.
Is "Lock the Task Bar" enabled?
If so, disable it. You should be able to put your mouse on the top edge and
resize like resizing a normal window showing the resize arrows.
Lock the taskbar again of you wish to do so.

That should do ....

If the good advice from "copihaus" doesn't work, see:

What happens is that the end "margin" of the QuickLaunch toolbar has
gotten so far over to the right that it is now down below. Unlock the
Taskbar and then "grab" the dotted line on the bottom bar and drag it up
to immediately to the right of the QuickLaunch icons. Now you've
successfully made the QuickLaunch toolbar shorter and can "grab" the top
bar of the Taskbar and "push" it down to the regular one-tier height.
