Vista type bubble screensaver for XP ??

Will the one from my Vista box work on my XP box if I copy it too it?
If not does anyone know of one that is preferrably freeware?

TIA

Now is a great time to point you to one of the easiest ways to find
information on problems you may be having and solutions others have found:

Search using Google!
http://www.google.com/
(How-to: http://www.google.com/intl/en/help/basics.html )

For example, this search...
http://www.google.com/search?q="Bubbles"+screen+saver+for+"Windows+XP"+like+the+one+on+Vista+freeware

Led me to:
http://www.softpedia.com/progDownload/Vista-Screensaver-Ported-to-XP-Download-44716.html
(ESET NOD32 says the files are clean)

That is some of the Vista screensavers ported to Windows XP (including the
one you mentioned) and another link (I actually found this first) tells you
what registry values to change/add to control the bubbles more precisely:
http://www.vistaheads.com/forums/microsoft-public-windows-vista-general/339745-bubbles-screensaver-registry-value-help-please.html

Good luck. Please respond to this so that those who might search and find
it in the future will benefit in knowing whether or not this helped you.

Guess not or whatever.

People are good at telling others what they should not do to their own
system but when it comes to actually helping someone they are just a
bunch of dumb assed MFs!!!

Wow - you got a response - one that told you *everything* you needed *and*
how to get it next time - yet you responded to yourself with... whatever
that tirade was.

Luckily - it is archived indefinitely...
http://groups.google.com/group/microsoft.public.windowsxp.general/browse_frm/thread/335065e8feb26e40/7d90fdc8a9a5516c

If you cannot see it - I guess it is whatever newsgroups you have chosen to
utilize. It is above - in the link. Everything you asked about, everything
you wanted to know and how to find it on your own - 18 minutes after you
asked it.

*shrug*

If you are going to ask people to only respond in the newsgroups - perhaps
you should understand how to use them. ;-)

I'll repeat the answer - just so it's there twice...

I thought your answer very detailed, can't please everybody all the time, and
those with attitudes
you can't please at all, I think it was just too much work for him to
actually click on any of those links
to read the detail and learn. his problem, you can lead a horse to water,
but you can't make them drink
it...
