Just the Internet connectivity ? Some advanced settings on Network
Interface Cards have adjustable "Sleep Timers". Otherwise the only
approach is to modify the Power Savings mode of the computer and
set the inactivity timer to 15-minutes.

What are using to connect, cable, dial-up, ADSL, etc? Various connection
methods have different ways to disconnect.

Maybe if you describe (without revealing any personal information) why
you need to, think you need to do, what you are trying to make happen
or keep from happening, you will benefit from the experiences of
others.

Right now I would say to just set your system to automatically shut
down after 15 minutes of inactivity and that will accomplish your
stated objective.

Hi Eric,

Some routers have a "Disconnect when idle for..." option.
