Windows Update - always kb842773

update , it will always download KB842773 which its has successfully
downloaded 4 times. There after I try to go for further updtes, it will still
download this kb842773. There is no error message although once I did see
error 0 x 8000 0007.
I am still trying to clear the virus etc and would like to know how can I
bring my Windows xp prof up to date. Thank you

Most likely you'll need to "clear the virus etc" before you can install it
(see below), although you might try downloading/installing it manually via
