When I force BSOD the memory is dumped to pagefile as message on blue screen
indicates dumping memory with incrementing number. When system reboots after
dump I find no Memory.dmp file or the log entry in system log.
Is any one experiencing same problem? or Know what am I missing.
TIA
Jay
Instead, change it to something like this: C:\Windows\MEMORY.DMP.

We have an EWF solution for the C: drive and we are trying
to locate our MEMORY.DMP file on the D: drive. We followed
your instructions for locating the PAGEFILE.SYS file on D:
(copy and modify the SYSTEM.SAV file before FBA), except
that we modified the registry entries for the MEMORY.DMP
file instead. It seems that, no matter what we try, it
doesn't work. We can only get the memory dump to work if
BOTH the PAGEFILE.SYS and MEMORY.DMP file are located on
C: and EWF is disabled.
Can you help us?
Thanks,

A: No, in order to have a memory dump saved when the system crashes you need
to have a pagefile on the boot volume. Without a pagefile on the boot
volume the system is unable to save a dump file. Since EWF is protecting
the boot volume from writes this will not work properly. Background
information on this issue can be found in KBase article # 314482
(http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;314482).
