I have a 80 Gig HD for my first disk (c: drive, disk(0)). My flash is my d:
drive. I set drive to 1 and multi(0)rdisk(0)rdisk(1)partition(1) in the
ArcName registry setting.
Any ideas?

Unfortunately, there is known flaws in that article.
Some registry key are missing.
Specifically, add this reg.key:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\Cur-rentControlSet\Services\ewf\Pa-rameters\Protected\Volume0]" "Enabled"=dword:00000001
You may want to read latest thread about it:

KM
Beside the problems with EWF you should first solve unusualo ARC path
problem and volume letter.
Where did you do FBA? On flash, on HDD?
Anyhow it would be good if final flash destination was something like C: and
multi(0)rdisk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)
Disk that BIOS use as boot disk (AFAIK) is always multi(0)rdisk(0)rdisk(0)
