when i modify menushowdelay in the registry to affect the speed at which menus popup, there is no resulting effect. is there any thing that might be hindering the command? before i recovered my computer, there was no problem here.

There is more than one "MenuShowDelay" in the registry.
Try doing a search using "find" from the menu. This worked
for me.>.
