I have not seen any response to my yesterday repost of this same
request. Of course, I never saw any responses before to this same
problem of mine. Risking chastisement, and because I really need help
on this networking problem, this is a re-post but to a different NG.

Thanks for your patience.

Made it in my downloaded headers this time!
Answer(s) on my networking problem will be appreciated.

Re-posting my response to your re-post from yesterday....

Before looking for increasingly complex solutions, you should try
eliminating some of the more obvious "simple" ones first ;

One "perhaps" is that if you were to take a look at the "Sharing" tab for a
drive and/or other content (e.g. Printer) on Machine #3. i.e.;
Right-click on your [C:] drive and click on the "Sharing" tab. Then just
ensure that sharing IS enabled for that, or any other drive/other you wish
to be able to access from the network.

I do I.T. and computers as a hobby and in a small way, I also give a little
professional help. As for networking, I'll admit to it not being my
strongest area of expertise. Probably, I think most people who contribute
here know more than me on the subject of Networking. However, the point I
am making, here, is that possibly *before* you go into any greater detail
in your search for an answer, that you re-check the more simplistic of
possible causes first. That's all I am saying!...

I agree. Thanks for the words of wisdom.

There is a common saying: "Google is your friend."

The tool (Forté Agent) seems to be working just fine. Google Groups seems to
think it is working just fine. And 40tude Dialog+'news.sonic.net' shows your
articles.

Maybe you need a different tool (newsreader), a different service (Easynews
is puking)?

I have been Googl'ing the H out of this subject already. I do agree
with you.

That's what I really meant.
