Bill's not written a decent programe since 3.1x

Unknown!!...that says it all.
It is unlikely Bill (Gates I assume) had much to do with the code in Windows
XP. That was likely left up to the many programmers put on the task.
Windows XP is more than just a "program" in that many other applications and
programs choose to run on top of the operating system known as Windows XP.
However - here it is - August (late August) 2007 and you have decided to
post some random... comment... on what you think of an OS released in
2001/2002?
I am also assuming much in that you are actually speaking of "Windows XP"
and not some other product with "XP" in the name. Yes - you are posting in
the "Windows XP Basics" newsgroup - however my experience tells me to not
put too much stock in where someone chooses to post their
questions/comments - as often the location of the posting has nothing in
common with the message.
So if you would not mind clarifying what product you are commenting on and
what prompted you to make the comment so abruptly and at this time - that
would assist others in being able to understand where you come from and what
your message might actually entail. A little supporting facts as to how you
came to the conclusion you have would also bolster your case.

How To Ask Questions The Smart Way
http://www.catb.org/~esr/faqs/smart-questions.html
And what is you perfect software that you've written in all that time?
Aw, time to find mommy and suckle some more.
Hey..no hard feelings, you're obviously make a good living helping
these chumps who were gullible enough to go out and waste their hard
earned dosh on this junk. There's about 200 posts a day to this
group, xpgeneral and xpnetwork-web alone, never mind the other
help-sites. That alone should tell anybody what a general PITA xp is.
BTW Internet Exploder sucks as well.
Best regards
Tony

There is no hard feelings.
Where was what I do for a living a part of this discussion? I answer
questions freely here because I can - but as far as what my actual
profession is... that was never mentioned nor relevant to this discussion
in this free newsgroup setup to help people with problems and questions.
It is obvious you cannot answer my questions or do not wish to. If what you
have given *is* what you consider an answer to what I have asked - here is
what I see:
What you have basically done is based your response to me on the actual
number of posts to a set of help and support newsgroups. You assume because
there are so many posts to this newsgroups - that the questions existence
prove your initial point. They do not.
Let's say you live in a city of 1 million people and you monitor the number
of visits to the local hospitals for any given day. The numbers would be
larger than the ones you mentioned here and I doubt you would assume that
everyone is dying or extremely accident prone or that something is wrong
with the city based off just the pure numbers that visited those hospitals.
What you have done is assume that of the many millions of Windows XP
systems - hundreds of posts per day (despite their content, as it seems to
be ignored in the response you have given) - are here because that product
does not work properly. Sometimes it is hardware problems, sometimes it is
end-user error or misunderstanding, sometimes it is a simple "how to"
question.
Now - having said that; you are, of course - welcome to your opinion on
whatever subject you wish to bring up. However - those with opinions who
share them, *in my opinion*, should be willing/able to support these share
opinions with actual reason and discussion - or they are nothing but the
lone person walking down the street, mumbling to themselves with the
occasional shouting to the invisible demons in their own head.
By the way - would you consider the other products that offer free
peer-to-peer support on forums like these get a lot of traffic to "suck" as
well? For example:
Adobe Forums:
Apple product Forums:
Autodesk Discussion Groups:
Mozilla Product Forums:
OpenOffice Forums:
Random Linux Forums:
- http://www.linuxquestions.org/questions/
- http://www.linuxforum.com/forums/
Roxio Forums:
I did not make a comprehensive list (too many products, too many companies,
too many forums for each with hundreds of postings each day.) Just the
gaming forums alone could fill many many volumes of whatever media you
choose to try and store it on. For that reason - the list of forums above
is just a short list found quickly for the purpose of furthering this
discussion.
If you do not wish to answer the question of *why* you believe the products
you have mentioned (but not clarified as to version, etc) "suck" - that is
your prerogative - but know that most people will not take much stock in a
statement without something to back it up.

I can see you're a man of a deep philosophical nature, if the wife
hadn't taken me out and got me pissed, (drunk if you're a yank) I'd
indulge in a philosophical debate but she did, so it'll wait to wait
until tomorrow.
In the meantime do something useful.

Now owned by some dumb yank ain't it.
>Millions and millions of XP users, only 200 posts a day?
In three groups only; there are something like 2 or 3 hundred on
usenet, do the maths.
Does Bill give you enough that you have to known as Unknown, be brave,
come out from behind the bushel.
Tony
Then don't use it! And as I see you are using Forte Agent (which is WINDOWS
only AFAIK) you are a troll!
What a pile of troll droppings!
