I'm ripping a cd to my pc and it doesn't recognize the cd name, artist, track

Is this a commercial or a homemade CD? If it's commercial, try
right-clicking one of the CD tracks in the WMP library and select Find
Album Info (it's possible that WMP doesn't find the CD yet if it's a
very new one).

For homemade audio CD's, you need to put this information on the CD
itself while burning, this is called CD-Text. See
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CD-Text for more information.

Does it not recognize if for *that* CD or for *all* CDs?

Speaking for myself only.

The fix hides in Internet Explorer!

Under Internet Option, Advanced click Reset.

Then the Album info will be fixed :)
