I've been using this utility in the distant past on XP and it always
worked. Anymore when it's run on XP clients with SP2, you always
receive "Access is Denied" when run remotely using /server switch. I'm
pretty sure this is due to RPC security in SP2, however rather than
disabling this feature of SP2, is there a better utility that will
authenticate connections? Or how does anyone else manage viewing
disconnected sessions for XP clients?

My current favorite workaround is to use psexec/pstools to run it
client side. Works fine and I'm comfortable with it, but other
solutions would be good to know.

Set the following reg key to make qwinsta work remotely:

Key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Terminal Server
Value Name: AllowRemoteRPC
Value Type: DWORD Value
Value Data: 1
