I HAVE read all the troubleshooting info and sites, I can find, but
can't seem to find EXACTLY what is going on.

My clients are getting found by my WSUS 3.0 (latest SP) server.
Because I can delete them and they show up again. However the WSUS MMC
console is showing them as NOT YET REPORTED. However looking at the
client logs, I see:

2008-09-02 02:48:55:788 1144 124 Report Reporter successfully uploaded
1 events.:

The workstation BIOS/Processor etc is showing up but not the status of
any updates.

Try to access the above URL from IE and see what happens. The error means HTTP
404 file not found.

Assuming you just upgraded to WSUS 3.0 (or the SP1 package), the most likely
cause here is that the installer thrashed your 'selfupdate' virtual
directory on the port 8530 virtual server.

Recreate 'selfupdate', pathed to C:\Program Files\Update
Services\selfupdate, and enable anonymous access.
