Hi,
We are using WSUS 3 server and one of the client not receiving update
notification but gives error
'Agent WARNING: Failed to evaluate Installed rule, updateId =
{03FF1EBE-C1CF-4DBA-ACDA-5C3BFBD9133D}.100, hr = 80041017'
I have already run net stop wuauserv, deleted windowupdate.log file and
software distribution folder, restarted wuauserv, wuauclt
/detectnow/reportnow commands but still the update notification pop up do
not appear, gives the same error , What could be the issue
Best Regards,

Any events appearing on the client side related to updates?

Did you try to re create the object for that computer on WSUS console?

Cheers

Hi,
Tried with wuauclt/detectnow & wuauclt/reportnow, after restarting and
deleting windows update log but still the notification popup do not appear,
is there any other way to force a computer appear on the WSUS console.

Best Regards,

Ok, so the computer does not appear at all at WSUS.

Have you checked on the client computer if the GPO that points the updates
to the WSUS is being applied? Check it using RSOP console (Resultant Set of
Policy). Running the report on this console will show you all the GPO and
their values that are being applied, you should see the WSUS on them

Cheers

Hi,
I have checked on the client and ran diagnostics which shows the WSUS server
name and even on windows update log on the client it shows the WSUS server
name.
which means policy is working fine and applied.
