I deleted the link in my Startup, but it gets re-created without my
permission. I have created a login and a logout procedure, both of which
check for the link and delete it if present.can I stop it happening?
Every second login it is back!!!
What recreates it, and how can I stop it ahppening?
Please don't tell me that I should use it as lots of things can be done with
it. I know that, but with a very stable environment, with no new users or
computers, Internet & emails fine as is Monitoring & Reports.
I can't reconfigure BackupAssist or move data around with Explorer using SM.

One way to prevent the Server Managment console from starting...
Go to:
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Windows Small Business Server\Administration
and drag (move) LaunchConsole.exe to your desktop. (protect it; DO NOT
DELETE IT, as you may need it in the future). This should prevent the
Server Management console from starting.
From this point forward, if you or other admins click on "Server Management"
from the Start menu, the target path associated with that icon will change:
FROM:
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Windows Small Business
Server\Administration\LaunchConsole.exe"
TO:
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Windows Small Business
Server\Networking\icwnotify.exe"
(Note: There may be multiple Server Management shortcuts that exist on your
SBS server).
So, if you would need to reinstate the Server Management console in the
future, you would have to place LaunchConsole.exe back into its original
folder. Then you would have to do a search for all occurrences of "Server
Management" and make sure the target path for each points to
LaunchConsole.exe.
