i attempted to set up yahoo pops, but apparently don't understand a few
things. i think my problem is the network settings. i know that i should use
a different pop3 port and smpt port than the one i am using for my regular
email, but i don't know what to use.
it seems that i get connected in oe, but no emails are downloaded. any help
would be greatly appreciated.
thank you

Incorrect when using YahooPOPs.
Incoming: localhost (points to YahooPOPs)
Outgoing: either 'smtp.mail.yahoo.com' (w/authentication) or the SMTP server
for your ISP ['mail.optonline.net' for you, Indera]
However, if yours is a UK-based Yahoo account, you shouldn't have to use
YahooPOPs to access your Yahoo mail in OE. See
http://help.yahoo.com/help/uk/mail/pop/pop-06.html for the correct settings,
Indera.

yippee! once again you have bailed me out. thank you so much!
is there a way to have the email from the bulk folder to go to a folder
other than the inbox in oe?
i know that i can select the option in yahoopops to leave bulk mail on the
server, but often, some email that isn't spam winds up in the bulk mail
folder?
this tool is so cool!
thank you

This change is brand new for MSN Hotmail (since mid September); it has been
in effect at Yahoo! since May, 2002. In any case, I am not paying for Yahoo!
Premium mail service, yet I do have access to 'pop.*.yahoo.com'. (And 'smtp.
*.yahoo.com', if I wish.)
