My address bar has disappeared!
I have tried the fixes I have found in this discussion forum:
1. Right clicking on the toolbar and making sure address bar is checked.
2. Resizing the toolbars to ensure the address bar is not hidden.
3. Editing the registry to reset the toolbars as per
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=842903
4. Repairing explorer.exe from the windows xp disc.
I am at a loss.
I am running windows XP home SP2 and IE6 SP2.
Please help
Search the registry for the value NoAddressBar. If found, modify the value
from 1 to 0.

Hope this helps,

Thanks for that info. I can't find the NoAddressBar key and I have read the
document at http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=823057 and I can say with some
certainty there is no registry restriction (of that description)
Any other suggestions?
Your help is greatly appreciated, although this is a small thing, I do tend
to work with the address bar often, and I am also very worried that the
missing address bar may be symptomatic of another more serious problem :-(
Thanks

Thanks again, and such a speedy reply. Unfortunately this didn't change the
situation.
Following your suggestion regardint 'NoAddressBar' I searched the registry
for every incidence of the word 'Address' with no positive result. I have
recently upgraded to broadband (ADSL) do you think this might have had an
effect?
If you have any further suggestions, I would be happy to hear from you.
Thanks in advance
