Hi,

I hoped that OE6 will rid us all of the dreaded problem with the space
being removed in the "-- " signature delimiter.
It didn't.
Why are the Microsoft developers so stubborn in implementing trailing
space removal without omitting the "-- "???
Does anyone know a workaround for thos problem? The vast majority of
newsreaders are able to cut out the signature upon replying based on the
a/m delimiter, which is a very sensible feature. Not to mention coloring
the post differently for the cited text, main body and signature...

Regards
Stan

The signature delimiter is not part of RFC 1036, only the *draft*
replacement for that which goes by the name "son of 1036". The OE team
stuck to the actual RFC, although son-of-1036 has become a de facto RFC
is some parts of the world, notably Europe. But this issue is VERY high
on the wish list, and so hopefully will be remedied soon. Keep sending
feedback on it by clicking Help|Microsoft on the Web|Send Feedback. Keep
it polite and it will get forwarded to the OE team. The more requests it
gets, the higher the priority will be.
