Updating my server at school, where I am responsable for
the network, I want to install sp3 on the server.
The package stops while the file xenrx86.dll is in use.
The system wants me to stop programs that are in use, but
not expliciet programs are running.
Is it possible that the file is market as to be open,
even when he is not? Ho can I undo such a setting, that
seems to happen more often on a server?
The file resides in the folder dllcache in system32.
Any idee?
Thanks for your help,
Mathieu
Hi
I am pretty sure that this is caused by a permission/rights problem on the file,
no programs are using files in the dllcache...
The permission/rights on the file can be corrupt, missing or revoked. If you
can't find any problems there, try to rename the file and see what happens. Then
try to install SP31 again.
Several other people have had this problem during a SP3 upgrade, on other files,
with the exact same error message. After they fixed the access rights, the SP3
install succeeded.

Thanks al lot. And as usually, it was a security problem
again!
Thanks.
