Hi

This problem is described in the following:

http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/Q244/7/99.ASP

It corresponds exactly to the problem that I have been having.
Unfortunately I cannot find out whether or this is supposed to have been
resolved in the latest Service Pack (6A - which I am running) or whether the
'hotfix' is necessary

The link on the page just points me at Microsoft's maddeningly complicated
and impenetrable support system.

Can anyone help?

Thanks

A search of Deja/Google (using 'Q244/7/99') suggests that this fix will
be included in SP7. A link to the 'hotfix' is given:

ftp://hotfix.microsoft.com/winnt/Windows_NT_4.0/sp7/Q244799/Q244799_enu_i386

but there's no response.

In the meantime I've switched to ADO and I've been running tests for 3
days with no failures. I've made three days using DAO before, though two
is usually the max. If it runs for a week then I'll be sure I've cracked
it.
