Hi, All;

My Portfolio Server doesn't talk to Project Server, therefore I cannot import projects from Project Server. Do you know how to fix this?

Thanks,

Dennis Huang

In project server definition, is web services under _vti_bin? I set website to http://localhost/pwa, then the web service is http://localhost/_vti_bin. Is it correct?

Thanks,

What are your Project Portfolio Server and Project Server version?

What is your architecture? farm?single server? I assume it is single server
because you use 'localhost'.

Did you follow all steps described in Portfolio Server deployment document?

What is an error? Page unreachable? Not authorized?

if you provide more details - you will give other chance to help :-)

Thanks, MCH.

I am using Project Server/Portfolio Server 2007 in a single server.

When I tried to import projects from project server, I got error: The
Request failed with http status 404: Not Found". I guess it's because the
web service of project server cannot be found.

Do you know how to set the Web Service URL?

Thanks,

Dennis Huang

Hi Dennis,

Your web service url should be something like this:

http://<servername>:56737/ProjectServer_SSP

HI Marcin/BVM,

I just want to ask if you were able to make the PPS2007 talked to PS 2007.
I have used single server setup for PS2007 and PPS 2007. I have tried
defining the webservice URL as:

http://<servername>:56737/<Projectserver ssp>
http://<servername> /_vti_bin/psi/
http://<servername> /_vti_bin/
http://<servername>/projectserver/_vti_bin/PSI/

but to I still got the error "The request failed with HTTP status 401:
Unauthorized." when I used the attribute mapping management'. I always go to
preferences whenever I updated the webservice but to no avail. I did use a
domain account or a PS account to test this but I got the same result.

I'm just wondering how PPS2007 communicates with PS2007 - e.g. you should
use a domain account in setting up attribute mapping and this account should
be the admin of project server etc? do I need to use same account for
application pool of PPS and PWA site etc? what rights on which account do I
need to check?. I was trying to look for documentation on the web but to no
avail.

I did try to manually browse the webservice site and I can browse it. - e.g.
http://<servername>/projectserver/_vti_bin/PSI/project.asmx

Any help that you can give will be highly appreciated!
