Error installing MS Project Server 2003

I followed the instructions from Microsoft's "Project Server 2003
Installation Guide.pdf"
but the installation failed with "Installation ended prematurely because of
an error".

I've got this same error, and solution:
MS DTC was showing an error (Event ID 4112, 4185, 4163).
run cmd
msdtc -resetlog
restart msdtc
# It will start running.
Try to install now. In my case, it was solved. I hope it could help
you.
