Two questions:
- Did you install the Service Packs for Office 2003? SP1 solved a lot of
display problems, and SP2 is available since some days and should be
installed, too. (SP1 is part of SP2, so you only need to install the
latter.)
- Did you change the Operating System when updating to PowerPoint 2003?
Fonts are installed with the OS and maybe the fonts the other person used
are now missing on your system. To check this, click on Format - Replace
Fonts and see whether there are any question marks in the list.

Ute,

I am having a similar problem with Powerpoint 2003 (with SP2 installed).
There appears to be a problem with the auto-resizing within a bulleted text
box. The auto-resizing pushes the text out of the bottom of the text box.
When I resize the text in a text box and then save the presentation, when I
re-open the presentation the resized text has gone back to its original size.
Is there a fix for this?

Mike,

do you need the auto-resizing? I always turn it off, because it produces
slides with different text sizes.

Do you use a template which was created in an older version of PowerPoint or
on a Mac? I had a problem with bulleted text re-appearing when re-opening a
presentation. The only way to solve it, was to create the template from
scratch in PowerPoint 2003.

Thanks for the response. How do you turn off auto-resizing? I have
un-checked everything I can in
Tools->Autocorrect->AutoFormatAsYouType->ApplyAsYouType and it seems to have
no effect. The same problem occurs.

Mike,

that's the right place to uncheck auto-sizing.

What about the template issue? Could that be the reason?

Are all the fonts used in the presentation installed on your computer?
Check at Format - Replace Font: There should be no question marks in the
list.
