Our preacher installed Office 2007 on his computer and we have Office 2003 on
the auditorium computer. We usually print out his sermon in Outline View in
order to follow along and put up the appropriate slides as needed. When we
both used 2003 there was not a problem. But now the only thing that shows up
now is the titles of each slide and none of the content. Anyone have a
solution?

Hi Tim

I can recreate this - it seems to be that 2003 isn't recognising the 2007
placeholders as placeholders... A quick solution is to select all the slides
(ctrl+a) and apply the 'title and text' slide layout from the slide layout
taskpane. If there are some slides that aren't supposed to be this layout
then select only the ones that should be before applying the layout. Does
that make sense?

Thanks Lucy for your help. That is exactly what I needed. I had tried
everything else but I hadn't thought of that. In the first slide my preacher
sent me the title still does not show up, but I figured it out. The Title
slide was a picture not a text box. But that's ok, as long as I am able to
get the texts. Thanks again for taking the time to help me.

No problem Tim. It was useful to me as I hadn't seen this before!

Lucy, I hope you are still out there.
This problem still annoys me. I have had other problems trying to print the
outline view. For some reason when my preacher gives me the powerpoint for
this Sunday the first slide has the title of his lesson on it and if I change
the layout as you told me this title goes away. The title is not changeable
because it seems to be a picture than actual text. Other problems are
occurring with these slides when the layout is changed. If I get my preacher
to print out a handout he can do it for me and it looks fine, although he
says he has to change the font size because it is printing out very small
fonts. Why is this happening and why can't someone at Microsoft fix this
problem?

Oh, don't you worry, I'm still here :-)

Can you send me the file? It might be easier to advise you if I have a look
at it. Send it to lucyATaneasiertomorrowDOTcomDOTau (making the obvious
changes).
