Just a heads up in case your Activesync has stopped working and you use
Bitdefender v10.

I have a Cingular/HTC 8525 that has worked fine until today. On my office
computer today, I noticed that the sync process was taking forever.
Activesync showed "synchronizing" but no progress bar, and that's where it
stayed. The 8525 just said "connected". I tried restarting the desktop as
well as the phone, but no dice. I could transfer files manually via the
connection, but the synchronization process was broken.

When I connected the device to my home computer, everything worked fine,
until both Windows XP and Bitdefender asked me to restart my computer for
their updates. After the restart, I had the same problem synchronizing. I
reinstalled Activesync, rolled back Windows to an earlier point (to remove
the Windows updates), but no dice. I then removed Bitdefender and everything
works fine again.

The April 10 update is what breaks Bitdefender. I have sent an email to
Bitdefender support, and I'll send an update when I hear from them.

I confirm this also. When I uninstalled bitdefender activesync worked
properly.

Yep, same here with my IPAQ. But I'm still able to explore/browse all the
sub-folders on the device. I guess we will have to wait for the update.
Anyone planning to have a go with the Activesync 4.2 beta?

Activesync 4.5 is out now. Works great for me besides this bitdefender
thing. It took me two days to figure this problem out AFTER reinstalling
windows twice. Good luck.

I am having exactly the same problem as reported. I've filed a ticket
with Bitdefender and submitted log files. They say they will update by
email when there is a fix.

Hi, can you please give a short message when you a solution. I have same problems and phone-support bitdefender (in Germany) has no idea and never heard about problems.

Does anyone know if the May 9th product update for BitDefender has
resolved this issue?
