Rule for messages from Hotmail account not executing

After researching on this forum I found out that the new mail envelope
notification icon will only work on the Inbox of the default account. So as
to be notified of new mail to my Hotmail account (which is not my default
account) I created a rule that will play a sound and display a desktop alert.
When I test it by clicking on "Run Now" it works great. But it does not
actuallly execute after selecting apply. I've tried restarting Outlook,
deleting the rule and creating a new one and I can't seem to get it to work.
I'm using Outlook 2007 w/SP2 and Outlook Connector 12.1 (latest release) and
Windows Vista Home Premium 64bit. Any ideas?

No, I did not ask this question in another group. You may have answered this
question for someone else but not for me. I guess I will just do a search
through the other groups to find the answer. I didn't intend to ruffle any

It appeared to be exactly the same question. Since you say you didn't ask
before, then I'll answer. Rules and Alerts don't work for Outlook Connector
accounts unless you make the Live folders the delivery location.
Tools>Account Settings>Data Files tab.
