The "move" rule (without copy) is only available for items that I receive.
The only "move" rule available for items sent, says it will "move a copy".
Evidentially it makes a copy in the sent items folder and also puts one in
the designated folder.
You're on the right track with your suggestion, but I cannot get it to work.
Thanks for the mention of the generic rule at the end to put any items not
covered by a previous rule to move to the sent items folder.
Here's my rule as it is now:
Apply this rule after I send the message
through the "Davis.B" account
and on this machine only
move a copy to the "Davis.B sent mail" folder.
Thank you,
Davis
All should work correctly then ;-)

I created some 'search' folder rules that will copy mail from my Inbox to
these folders, i.e. 'all emails from Bill to Bills folder'. Then I can
easily look at all of Bill's mail quickly and easily.
Problem is that when I read the mail in the 'Inbox' it gets marked as read
but the mail in Bill's folder does not get marked as read. Any way to get
both occurences of the email shown as 'marked as read'?
Don't see any way to mark the same email in multiple folders as read when I
read it in the Inbox....
