Windows Live ID (Passport) sign in problems

When: Feb 26, 2008 (beginning approx 3AM Pacific)

Effect:
You may not be able to sign into any site requiring Windows Live ID.
For example:
Hotmail
Live.com
Messenger
My MSN
MSN Money (Portfolio, Accounts, My Money, etc)
Microsoft Money,
etc

The Windows Live ID team is working on getting this resolved as soon as possible.
***Since this is a partial/intermittent failure, you may be able to get signed in if you keep trying***. But it is best to simply
wait 'til later today or tomorrow.

Seems to be fixed now, I couldn't sign into Photo Gallery earlier but could
get into WLM. Just come back here and was signed in and Photo Gallery signed
me in as well <g>
Thanks for letting us know, thought it might be server problems <g>

Was it a server problem? I noticed I couldn't sign in Windows Live this
morning with my account and WLM wouldn't connect to download or send email,
but would download my wife's mail. Then later I could sign on from IE and
get my hotmail messages on Windows Live but still not get WLM to download
them. When I checked my account properties, server tab I noticed my
password had been deleted. Coincidence??

As noted in my earlier post..it was a partial/intermittent failure thus impacting some and not others..though more than less were
affected.

Afaik...the remote web system has evolved to remove a password from a local email client.

I am trying to do online banking through passport sign in. The message that I
get is money can not complete a required online call at this time. This is
what I have been getting the last week even after I reinstalled and went
through all the support options.
