Ran Microsoft's latest service pack (09/20/05)...and we are still
receiving this error message (-18596).
I have seen this posted numerous times, however no fix seems to be
posted or work.
Is there anyone from Microsoft reading this messageboard and if
so...what is being done about this problem?
Are all Entourage 2004 SP 2 clients in this Exchange environment having the
same problem? Or is this machine and/or this user account? Can you connect
as a different Exchange mail user?
When does the problem occur? During the acount setup wizard? During initial
synchronization?
What is the Exchange server "form" you are using? Just server name? Fully
qualified server name? http://www.company.com OWA URL?
http://www.company.com/exchange? http://www.company.com/exchange/username?
By the way, -18596 is -19000 (HTTP error base) + 404 Not found. We issue
that error in a few places in the code, but for the most part it's directly
returned from the WebDAV service on the Exchange server, and it is not
obvious what request is generating the 404 response.
