Now Available: Internet Explorer 5 for UNIX with Outlook Express - Final
Release

Microsoft is pleased to announce the final release of Internet Explorer 5
for UNIX with Outlook Express! This release brings key improvements in
simplicity, automation, and flexibility to our UNIX customers, and was
designed to provide the highest quality experience to end users, content
developers, and network administrators:

Simpler, more intelligent browsing. Enhancements to the user interface in
Internet Explorer 5 make browsing even simpler than before. Favorites and
History refinements, improved auto complete and the new Search Assistant
will help users get the right information faster!

Powerful standards-based developer features. Internet Explorer 5 for UNIX
offers the most complete support of Internet standards and technologies,
including Dynamic HTML, CSS, CSS-P, XML, XSL, XQL, and the W3C DOM. Content
developers can take advantage of these technologies across both UNIX and
Windows platforms.

Ease of deployment and maintenance. The Internet Explorer Administration
Kit allows network administrators to roll out custom packages of Internet
Explorer 5 which are tailored to fit a particular organization’s needs.
Administrators can set up proxies and accounts, apply advanced settings and
security restrictions, and customize the Internet Explorer interface -- all
from the IEAK Wizard. The settings are centrally maintained using the IEAK’
s auto-configuration feature.

Internet Explorer for UNIX is available for both Solaris and HP-UX
platforms, and is free to download. For more information, or to download
