I've got a new PC with Vista and have installed FP2000 but don't know how or
even if it is possible to connect to my websites. Is there any workaround
for FP extensions?

Thanks,

RAL

You can still open your live web sites with FrontPage as long as your web
host has the FPSE installed. Do you mean local webs?

Thanks for your reply David. One hosting site is yahoo so they should have
the needed parts installed. I am able to access the site on my old pc, just
not on my new one. I heard that Vista doesn't have the FP server extensions
installed.

There is no support for the FP extensions under Vista.

So does that mean I'm SOL?

What about Expression? Will I be able to use it in place of FP, and will
they work with current servers?

TIA

Vista does not have the FrontPage Extensions installed but that only applies
to working on web locally. If your web host has the FrontPage Extensions
installed then you can open and work on your web just fine.

OK so that sounds like I should be able to access my website. However I
don't know how to do that. If I click on "open web" and then type in the URL
for either site, I get a message saying that that folder doesn't exist or
can't be accessed.

Ideas?

There is a fix for this. KB 928692. check it out. All you need to do is
enable basic authentication on vista.

Thanks Steve, but what is KB 928692 and how would I enable authentication?
