Hi, respected guys and ladies:

This is Jameel - THANKS for your help.

Its been 2-3 days I'm getting this error message whenever I attemp to edit
my sites. The sites are not even downloading in the browsers.

COULD NOT FIND A WEB SERVER AT 'WWW.DRKERMALLI.COM' ON PORT 80. PLEASE MAKE
SURE THAT THE WEB SERVER NAME IS VALID AND YOUR PROXY SETTINGS ARE SET
CORRECTLY. IF YOU ARE SURE THAT EVERYTHING IS CORRECT, THE WEB SERVER MAY BE
TEMPORARILY OUT OF SERVICE.

Hi Jameel

How are you publishing to your server ? http or ftp. If you are publishing
ftp which I assume you are, try ticking the "use passive mode" box , or if
this box is already ticked then try unticking and have another go at
publishing. As for your site not downloading in your browser, are you sure
you are connected ? as this well could be a reason you can not connect to the
server, and getting the timed out port 80 error

Cheers

Works for me.

Make sure you are telling FrontPage to open http://www.drkermalli.com/

Also, if the server has FrontPage extensions and you have published using ftp://,
you have broken the extensions.
Have your host repair / restore them and then try opening the site
using the http:// address.

In addition to the other suggestions make sure your firewall isn't blocking
Expression from publishing.

What URL - exactly - are you using?
To access using FrontPage extensions the location must be
http://www.drkermalli.com
A url like www.drkermalli.com (without the http://) will fail.

Try opening the page in Internet Explorer, and choose File->Edit with
Expression Web from the Internet Explorer menu. I get the login
dialogue which shows (at that point) there is nothing wrong with the
server or extensions.

The problem is - http://www.drkermalli.com does not open in MY IExplorer and
from MY MS Expression Web.

So, I do not get the login dialogue!

That sounds like a DNS problem.
Check your Hosts file to make sure the domain is not being sent
elsewhere -
In Windows XP the Hosts file is located in:
C:\windows\system32\drivers\etc

The Hosts file does not have an extension.
Use Notepad to open the file.

If there is no entry here, check with your ISP (the company that
provides your internet connection) if their DNS server is up to date or
having problems - usually DNS servers are updated at least daily, but I
have heard of servers that are only updated weekly. If this domain was
registered recently it can take up to 3 days for the update to propagate
to all DNS servers (that are updated daily).
