Macro Recorder Doesn't Record Anything

In Excel 2007, when I use the macro recorder to record things that I am doing
to a chart, nothing shows up in the macro. For example, when I select and
change information in a text box that is on a chart, the only thing recorded
is that I selected the chart's plot area. What's going on? This used to
work in Excel 2003.

Things seem to have changed in XL2007. Here is a link that highlights some of the differences...

Scroll down to the listing for "Macro recording" in the left hand column and read what it says about charting stuff in the right hand column.
