Can Not Open Group Policy - Please Help!!!!!!

I have new SBS2000 install and I am trying to access Domain level group
policy. When I select Group Policy tab on the properties page I get the
following error:

Title: Domain controller not found for [my domain]

Error: The domain controller for Group Policy operations is not available.
You may cancel this operation for this session or retry using one of the
following domain controller choices:

*The one with the Operations Master token for the PDC emulator

* The one used by the Active Directory Snap-ins

* Use any available domain controller

No matter which one I choose I get this:

Group Policy Error: Failed to find a domain controller. There may be a
policy tat prevents you from selecting another domain controller.

Details: The network path was not found.

Please help me with this. I don't know how it happened or how to fix it.

Check that the internal (LAN) nic is first in the binding order.

I also had this happen when I removed file and printer sharing from the
external nic if you can believe that.

Scared the hell out of me.

Yes, that would happen if the external nic is listed first.

The internal nic should ALWAYS be at the top of the list.

And you were quite right to want to disable File & Print sharing from the
external nic.
