I am looking for the developer ribbon. I press the 'office button', press
the 'access options' button, and select the popular item. There is no "Show
the Developer Tab on the Ribbon" check box in in the 'top Options' section.
I have looked in Excel, and it is there. How do I find this check box to get
the developer tab?

Hi jbird,

Did you download the developer extensions? Is this what you need?

Hi Whiz -

Yes, unfortunately, I have developer extensions installed. Do you have any
other suggestions?

Hi jbird,

The 'developer ribbon' on my install amounts to a choice in the main office
button menu (read: NOT under 'popular', but below it at the bottom).

I can't find anything else related to a 'ribbon'.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

Hi Whiz -

Thanks for your help. I do not even have it there, also. Do you know of
any other sites I can post this question to?

Regards,

Ken

Hi jbird,

I have one more suggestion for you, and a website if it doesn't work.

First, I'd consider uninstalling and reinstalling the developer extensions.
You can remove them using the add/remove programs in the control panel. It's
a 'nothing else works so....' solution, but it's the kind of thing that's
worth trying and has solved many an issue for me in the past.

Here's the developer extensions and runtime website. You need the runtime
if you want to package your solutions for people without the full version of
Access on their computers. I don't think you necessarily need the runtime to
use SOME of the features of the developer extensions, but I never tried
installing the latter without the runtime, so I don't know what effect it
would have.

As for another forum, I'd just preface by saying I don't think you'll find a
better forum than this one. That said, it doesn't hurt to have another
resource to fall back on.

Another site I have used on occasion, though not in a long time, is
tek-tips. There's a good group of knowledgeable and helpful posters there.
You might give it a try if you don't get anything more here.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help. Hope you get it resolved.
