Access 2007 compatibility with 2003 using Vista

I created a simple database tool in Access 2007 with Vista as my operating
system. I saved a version in the 2003 format sent it to someone using XP,
Office 2003. They were able to open it but most of the command buttons do not
work and there are problems graphically. When viewed as a 2003 mdb on a Vista
machine using 2007 there are no problems. Any solutions or do I just have to
create this from Office 2003 to begin with?

you probably need to enable the macros to run or something easy like
that

You saved the Access 2007 database as an Access 2003 format file. Open this
file in Access 2003. Open the code window. Choose References on the Tools
menu. What libraries are checked? Are any of them marked with the word
"MISSING"? If so, see:

Is there any consistency to which buttons work and which ones don't? Is it
the ones that use macros that work, and the code ones don't?

What problems graphically? Is it the menus and toolbars instead of the
ribbon? Or is it the Properties box that show up when you use forms?

I am sorry that I am just now getting back to this. What does not work are
command buttons for navigation and opening of other forms. The captions are
gone, replaced with default "command xxx". The graphical issue is the form
header is solid black showing only command buttons, not text boxes, combo
boxes, etc. I will check the reference in the tool menu now.
