2. Having them both installed should make no difference.

Also, how do I delete a database from 2007?
Thanks
What do you mean by "delete a database from 2007"? Are you talking about
removing it from the MRU (Most Recently Used) list? I don't have Access 2007
installed on this machine, so I can't remember whether there's an option for
control the MRU. If there is, it would likely be under Access Options when
you click on the Office button in the upper left-hand corner. If there
isn't, you'll probably have to go into the registry to remove the entry.

If you opened the A97 DB without converting (click No), click office button -
convert, you can only convert to ACCDB format. (Unless clicking Yes the
default will be as in your Access Option)
If you run Access 2007 without A97 DB, click the office button - Open - in
the file window, select the A97 DB and a popup will appear asking you to
convert, click yes. A file window appears and in the Save as type, the
default format will be as according to what you have set in the Access Option.
A little very unfriendly way of converting isn't it? There's no way of
converting to another format once you click No it just stays in ACCDB.

Deleting db-Yes, the MRU (Most Recently Used) list shows db names even if I
have deleted them through explorer. I can't believe MS does not allow db
deletion from within Access. How goofy is that?
I did discover the option that enables a user to limit the number of MRUs
displayed however I do not see that as a solution. And I would not welcome
the thought of editing the register just to remove a db name.
Thanks for the reply.

You can remove the MRU list in the Access Option. Go to Office Button -
Access Option - Advanced - scroll down to Display - uncheck "Show this number
of Recent Documents" - set it to zero (0).
Removing the MRU does not delete the DB, it just remove the short cut link.
Deleting a DB file as it's always been since Access version 1 and till 2007 (
and still be the same in 2010 version), open My Computer or File Explorer
search to your file right click or use the menu to delete.
