dear all,
Changing attribute values/ IDs for objects has been a necessary evil
to live with (especially in .NET recent upgrade apps). Web apps have
the DOM structure defined by the architecture. Can I be helped in
getting a generic descriptive program to read the <TAG> values of the
DOM structure of an application?
I am very new to descriptive programming :)

Thanks in advance!

Yes, DOM structure becomes tricky some time but all the
native(runtime) properties provided by QTP is really helpful in
indentify the object and do all other operation on them.
I personally do not think generic DP will not be feasible for DOM
structure of an application. You may consult with developer about
different properties of objects and request them to give some generic
object identification..
