Hi Erman,

QC is for test management tool instead of QC you can go for Bugzilla Testopia
Description:
Testopia is a test case management extension for Bugzilla. It is designed to be a generic tool for tracking test cases, allowing for testing organizations to integrate bug reporting with their test case run results. Though it is designed with software testing in mind, it can be used to track testing on virtually anything in the engineering process.

QTP is an functional testing tool, depends on your program expertiese you can select any opensource functional testing tools like if you are good in RUBY then use WATIR.

Watir

Description:

Watir (Web Application Testing in Ruby) is a functional testing tool for web applications. It supports tests executed at the web browser layer by driving a web browser and interacting with objects on a web page. It uses the Ruby scripting language.

There are so many other tools are also avaible but good technical support you can get from above tools.   Hope this helps.

Thanks
Srinivas

Santosh:  Erman is asking for what is the next best option.  He is not asking for QTP or QC.
