I was just curious. For others that print stuff - and then want to paint
it. Is there any particular paint U suggest. I have a Cupcake - and
print in ABS. Also - is there a difference between painting with a Brush
vs. Spray painting (as in - different types of paints that should be used).

TIA,

I use a brush on water based primer and then acrylic when I have painted. See: Magic Hand Mirror http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:13670 .

Most of the time I don't paint the pieces though.

I just saw a test of Nail Polish on ABS, and it looks fantastic.
Polish is thick enough it very well masks the original color. You
might give that a try.

hack on,

I've heard of that. But - isn't it a specific color - like Silver? Or does it come in multiple different colors?

Comes in metallic and matte shades - maybe 8 or 10 colors in matte at most stores that carry it.

For anyone curious, ill add something that doesn't work well- food
coloring dissolved in acetone or acetone-abs paste.

I use Bullydog adhesion promoter then you can use any type of spray
paint over that. The Adhesion promoter makes paint stick to plastic
much better than spray paint alone unless it is the Fusion stuff
that's made just for plastic.
