Use the Ubuntu disc to reinstall Grub. Should be a rescue option, you can Google the specifics. Windows overwrites the Master Boot Record with it's own boot software. If you ever have to redo the whole disc again, install Windows first, then Ubuntu.

This is an alternative, you may not try it first.

fix your win7 bootloader first (using the installer disk, repair), use EasyBCD (it is free and intuitive).

You have received a response which should solve your problem -- have
you followed Jeremiah's suggestion of reinstalling grub?

Read second post. You have to manually add the windows 7 entry in grub. Reinstalling grub just installs the boot record. You still need to configure the /boot/grub/menu.lst file.

May I recommend EasyBCD. Just read the documentation here: http://neosmart.net/wiki/display/EBCD/Ubuntu  .  Neowin has their own fork  of grub so it works well.

                  Good luck!

PS: I had windows 7 alongside Debian Testing for a while, so that's how i know.
