Hi,
Krusader uses the kioslave system for remote connections.
http://krusader.sourceforge.net/handbook/krusader-tools.html#remote-connections
Can you try Konqueror and do the same ftp operations (since both are
using the kioslaves) ?
If Konqueror get's also crazy it's probably a kioslave problem.
I'm not shure that the *krusader ftp crazyness* can be prevented or not,
i need to ask this at krusader-devel.
Currently the official krusader1.70.0-1 deb is not entered etch yet

It seems that in some cases there is a problem with the
remote connections, probably caused by the kioslaves.
Could someone take a look at it?
We are now a half year further after the first Debian bugreport
and there are now 3 bugs reports filed against it in Debian BTS,
i think they all talking about the same problem.
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=392607
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=386233
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=358606
Rafal Maj asked me to mail krusader-devel since it makes his
Krusader unusable for remote connections since a long time now.
btw. I can't reproduce the problem, but i'm only using ftp
on a relative fast and stable connection and had never trouble with it.
thanks and bye,
Frank
